Applications:
- profiled glass facades for sport halls with high heat insulation requirements
- buildings with high heat insulation requirements and very high window heights
Properties:
- greater glass lengths can be used due to the better statics
- ball impact safety for sport halls, when build as a triple-glazing with the double-glazed part on the inside
Thermolight®100 in 3&4-layered U-profiled glass for high window facades or for increased static demands
A triple-glazed U-profiled glass facade with external double-glazing improves the structural stability of the facade and may be required when planning with higher wind loads or very long glass panes.
A quadruple-glazed U-profiled glass construction is used in sports halls, if the requirements of statics and/or wind load can only be met with a double-glazing on the outside and ball impact safety requires double-glazing on the inside.
Since the valid height for U-profiled glass in the system 0,8 depends on the static calculation for single-glazed U-profiled glass facades, the system 0,8 can be adapted to allow for greater glass lengths with the addition of a third glass for a triple-glazed facade.
